Hydraulic separators - SP, SPP, SPD
Hydraulic separators SP type can be fitted between a primary and secondary piping to decouple hydraulically separate one circuit from another, for example boiler cycle from thermal cycle. The hydraulic separator is desinged for middle and high power heatting systems, which are composed from one or many boilers and one or more thermal cycles. The hydraulic separators, ensures independent opperation of those systems, without the need of compensating the flow of each circuit.
Description:
- decoupling or hydraulic separation
- maintenance of independent streams of mass circulation in the boiler and heating circuits
- no need to flow balancing of boiler and heating circuits
- deaerating and clearing water in the system heating
- blow down port for sediment removal

Construction:
The hyraulic separator is made of steel and externally painted. On the shell (1) are mounted four pipe connectors. To inlet and outlet connectors (2) and (3), is connected the boiler cycle. To inlet and outlet connectors (4) and (5), is connected the thermal cycle. Inside the vessel has been installed a perforated barrier (9) to prevent direct flow of water from the boiler to the heating system, as well as helping to deaerating. For eliminate of air, on the top part of the vessel is a connector pipe (7) to connecting a deaerating valve. Water passes through cleaning sreens (10) and exits the outlet. To get rid of pollutions from the hyraulic separator there is connector pipe (10), where is connected a blowdown valve.
Priciple of operation:
Application the hyraulic separator in a boiler system to separate the boiler cycle from the thermal cycle. Stand out cases:
- the state, where quantity thermal factor on primary side is equal quantity heat received by thermal system (pic.1.). The quantity delivered heat QD is equal quantity heat received QO.
- when demand for heat is lower QO, the valves on system heat are closing. Part of stream passes along the Hydraulic separator (pic.2). The heat excess QD give back and boiler sensors receive signal to decrease the boilers power or turn off them.
- when demand for heat QO is bigger than heat deliver by boilers QD, the pumps on heating system force return stream (pic.3), by this temperature in thermal cycle is decreasing. Boiler sensor receive signal to increase heat power or turn on next boiler.
