The self-acting pressure reducing controllers provides maintaining a constant set pressure within the 0,2-1,6; 1-2,8 and 1-3,5 bar. They are designed to control cold or hot water (temperature up to 180°C for RCRB controllers and up to 150°C for controllers RCRBm) and non-flammable gases of temperature up to 80°C. For steam are required condensig vessels.

Key Features:

  • Installation on upstream or downstream,
  • High quality of regulation.
  • Does not require conservation.
  • Requiring no external power source.

Construction:

For ensuring stable regulation at high differential pressures, the valve-plug (3) is balanced (4). The controller consisting of two units:
- valve: valve body (1), valve-seat (2), valve-plug (3), balanced unit (4), valve-stem (5);
- actuator: impulse pipe (6), actuator discs and diaphragm (8), springs (9), actuator-stem (10), adjusting nut (11), actuator-body(12).

Priciple of operation:

Medium flows to valve chamber (A). The control signal higher pressure is transmitted by the impulse pipe (7) to the actuator chamber (B). The actuator chamber (C) is connected with atmosphere. Size of the gap between the valve-seat (2) and the valve-plug (3) is depending on constant difference pressure between chamber B and C. When downstream pressure overcomes the adjusted set point, the valve closes proportionally to the changes in pressure. Value of pressure is setting by adjustment nut (11). This actuator is designed to normally position the valve open.

Installation:

Installation of RCRB

For ensuring good work the controller should be protect by the filter or the magnetic strainer. Install on horizontally pipelines. The direction flow of medium have to correspond with the arrow on the valve body. For steam are required condensig vessels.
