Flow controller RQB - construction
Self-acting flow controllers type RQB are intended to maintain a compensated constant flow rate to limit the flow downstream in range 0,15-23 m³/h. They are suitable to cold water, hot water (up to temperature of 180° C for controllers and RCB type and up to 150° C for controllers type RQBm) and non-flammable gases up to 80° C.

Construction:
For ensuring stable regulation at high differential pressures, the
valve-plug (4) is balanced (5). The controller is composed from two
connected components:
- the valve: valve housing (1), flow limiter(2), valve-seat (3),
valve-plug (4), balanced unit (5), valve stem (6);
- the actuator: impulse pipe (7), actuator disc (8), springs (9),
actuator stem (10), adjusting nut (11), actuator case (12).
Priciple of operation:
The medium flows to the valve chamber (A). The flow limiter (2) is determining the gap size between the chamber (A) and (B). The pressure in the chamber (A) is transmitted through the pulse pipe (7) to the chamber (C) of the actuator. The pressure reigning in the chamber (B) is transmitted through the holes in the valve plug (4) to the chamber (D). The value of differential pressure Dpm decides spring (9). As a result of maintaining a constant differential pressure between the chamber (C) and (D) maintained a constans reduction in the pressure chamber between the Dpm (A) and (B). By maintaining a permanent pressure drop between the chamber (A) and (B) is maintained constant flow of the medium by valve. The size of the regulated flow is controlled by adjustment of the flow limiter (2).
Installation of the controller:
The controller should be mounted on a horizontal pipeline. The direction of flow must be in accordance with an indication of the arrow on the valve body. To ensure the correct operation, the controller must protect by a filter or the magnetic strainer.
